Sisters at the possable dream adult high school

A new chapter is underway for Delia Rodriguez, 30, who returned to school Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 at The PossAble Dream Adult High School in Pharr to finish her high school diploma and pursue a future career in healthcare.

After stepping away from education years ago to care for her baby, now 13, Delia said the decision to come back grew from a simple desire.

“I wanted something more for myself," Delia said. "I want to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.”

Delia said she first heard about the school from her sister, Victoria Ozuna, who enrolled as a freshman.

“It’s something different,” Delia said of her first impression. "I am ready to get closer to my goals."

The sisters joked that mornings are still the toughest part about going to school.

“I don’t like waking up early," Delia said. "I’m not a morning person."

Her sister joked about convincing her sister to enroll.

“I forced her to come," Victoria said with a laugh. "She didn’t want to at first. Now, the best part is we get to study side-by-side, and I will see her every day.”

For Victoria, the decision to return came from a personal goal.

“I want to be able to say I did this for myself, even if it’s late," she said. "If you are considering coming back to school, don't be afraid to try something new. I will be your friend."
